Last Minute Valentines Day Gifts
So it's beginning of the week and it's Valentines Day on Thursday - yep and you have forgotten, been too busy, don't know what to get and/or you have lack of funds. Been there, done that and got the t-shirt.
So I've searched the internet for some ideas, and given you some ideas from the Amy vault and what I've done for my Valentines over the years.
You can purchase the game Jenga and then make it a game to play with your partner. The fun is where you can use pink and red pens to add some colour and write on the blocks loving dares, questions or sexy stuff on each piece. This is a fairly quick and easy DIY gift that is inexpensive and is personalised for you and your loved one.
Now your thinking, what the hell do I write - if you have writer's block (see what I did there)......
5-minute massage break
What's the reason you left in love with me?
I love you because.....
What makes you feel loved?
What's the best date you ever had?
I get goosebumps when you...
My favourite place to be touched is...
What is your idea of a romantic gift?
Remove one piece of clothing
Turn on a romantic song and slow dance
Chocolate Bar Wrappers
Did you know 58 million pounds of chocolate will be purchased during the week of Valentine's Day? 36 million number of heart-shaped boxes of chocolate purchased for Valentine's Day. 8 billion Sweethearts are produced annually and the majority of them are sold between Jan 1 and Feb 14.
Nothing says I love you like a bar of chocolate, but not just any bar of chocolate, why not print a label off and make it more personal, and that you've put the effort in. Here's a link to the website/blog that allows you to download the labels:
Also on this website/blog, you can get some other labels for some other chocolate bars, e.g :
Just Be-Twix me & you - I love everything about you (Twix Bar)
Hope your day is EXTRA special - Just like you (Extra gum)
I love that I can still Rolo-er next to you each morning (Rolos)
I'm bursting with happiness that you're mine (Starburst)
There are a million Resses - Why I love you (Reeses)
All you need is sweets, a printer, a pair of scissors and some glue.
Did you know: Chocolate is considered aphrodisiac food since the time of Aztecs. Chocolate is said to contain a substance that inflames desire and make the beloved one more open to romance. In olden days, this resulted in the tradition in European royalty to give their lovers chocolates mixed with amber to stimulate their love.
So kick start that Valentines Day with the food of love.
Who doesn't love a voucher and it's valentines day, so you can offer a various number of things....from the sexy and naughty, to offering to cook dinner one night, taking the bins out or doing all the household chores for a week. We all love a tipple and giving your loved one a bottle of the finest drink, what more could they ask for. However, if you made it personalised and a little more valentines-y then you'd be ticking even more boxes.

We make a great Mix Tape
Sometimes songs and music can say things you can't or struggle to find the right words with. Why not create a mix tape, and I'm not talking the old school cassettes As no one would be able to listen to it nowadays.
But we now have the new age things, like Spotify and USB sticks - man I'm sounding more middle aged as I get older. But what about selecting some tunes that you know your partner will love, either that it reminds you of them, or could be your song. You can share the playlist on Spotify, or with a USB they can listen on the way to and from work on Valentines Day. Very sweet, thoughtful and personal for your loved one. Here's a nice printout to add to your card and point them in the right direction.
Hopefully, these will get you out of the dog house and will save your bacon for Valentines Day. Please post and let me know if you used any of the ideas.
Happy Valentines Day!
